CarOS Press Kit
Everything you need to write about CarOS: what it does, the facts, and images free to use with credit.
CarOS turns the iPhone on your dashboard into your car’s screen.
Maps with turn-by-turn voice guidance, music, podcasts and radio, calls and dictated messages, and a built-in dash cam, on one screen with big round buttons made for driving. It works in any car, truck, van or RV: no new stereo, no wiring, just an iPhone on a phone mount. CarOS also turns an iPad into a large in-car screen.
CarOS 5, released on October 12, 2026, is a complete rebuild: written from scratch in Swift and redesigned for iOS 26 by CarOS’s independent developer, who has been making the app on his own since 2021.
